The Abbey Bank Account - Preferred Overdraft Rate
- 0% EAR Advance Overdraft for the first 12 months from the date you open the account (depending on your circumstances. After 12 months, the rate changes to our standard rate
- typical 12.9% EAR (variable) (see note 1)
- We'll match your previous overdraft up to £5,000 (dependant on circumstances).
- All these benefits are available when you switch your account using our dedicated Account Transfer Team
- You can apply if:
- You are at least 18 years old
- Are living permanently in the UK
- Simply complete the online application form
- If you want us to switch your Bank Account to Abbey for you, then please select `yes´ to our account transfer service in the online application
- We will email you within 3 working days of receiving your application with the next steps
Note 1. To qualify for these rates you must pay at least £1000 into your account each month. If you do not pay in £1000 a month the rate changes to 19.9% EAR (variable). We'll match your previous overdraft of up to £5000 (depending on your circumstances).
