Use an ATM Abroad

You can use your Abbey Visa debit, Visa Electron, cash card & Abbey credit cards to withdraw local currency from cash machines abroad, as and when you need it.

  • Avoid the risk of carrying large amounts of cash.
  • Look for the Visa, Electron Plus, MasterCard or Cirrus signs on the cash machines.
  • There are cash machines in all major towns and cities, but if you are travelling to remote areas, be sure to take sufficient foreign currency with you.
  • Lost cards can be stopped with a simple phone call and replaced fast. Report a lost or stolen card.
