Opening your 16-18 Bank Account

 

It’s quick and easy to apply for the Abbey 16-18 Bank Account. The application should take around 10 minutes.

 

You can apply if you are:

  • aged 16 or 17:
  • living permanently in the UK; and
  • beginning further education or starting a full or part-time job.

 

Get started

  • This online application should only take around 10 minutes
  • On the last page, click the submit button to send the form to us
  • We’ll post you a copy of the application so you can check the details and sign it. Return this to us with your identification in the envelope provided.  See a list of acceptable identification
  • We’ll aim to send your card and account number within five working days of receiving your application. However, this may take longer in busy periods
